Small museum full of icons and religious garments, Museum is signposted well and is well worth a visit.
I went here a few years ago with my family and we really enjoyed it, there's lots to see and it's not usually that busy, meaning you can take your time going round and the views are impressive as well.
Like many museums some fascinating exhibits. The Byzantine empire had some very intricate works and it was good to see so many. We spend lots of time in Greece though and have seen many more.
You really need to look at some of these icons closely to realise the amount of work that went in to them. I wouldn't say this was a museum I would go out of my way to visit but having done so I found myself later consulting old biblical stories that I had forgotten long ago. 2 euros entry fee... More
