I've been to Oslo twice. Once in the Autumn when the leaves were at their peak and then in the Summer. The site is beautiful with lots of interesting paths and places to sit and enjoy the view of the city and Oslofjord. I recommend seeing it in the Autumn, even though it was cold and did snow one night... more
The castle is well positioned overlooking Oslo's harbour. There are nice views west and south of the Bygdoy Peninsula and the fjord.
