We attended a wedding here in May and were extremely impressed with the location and the quality of the venue, service and food. You can certainly see why it is so popular for weddings with such a unique set up. The food was plentiful and extremely tasty - amazing seafood on the BBQ!I have no idea of costs but certainly... We stayed in Ilfracombe for a fabulous wedding in April 2013 and it was fantastic. The Bath House, restaurant and function room were all part of our wedding weekend. The Bath House is a lovely 10 room all with ensuite house that has been tastefully renovated. The kitchen is huge with 2 dish washers, huge sink and fridge. The lounge is... More

Just had coffee down at Tunnels, now that they have put a door on the adults only lounge the venue is the best place in town for a relaxing coffee and chat without being interrupted by kids. Still serving the best coffee in town.

Private beach with interesting history that charges £2.50 to go then a further charge for deck chairs so it needs to be a nice day to justify the expense. The local sand is black so it doesn't have the wow factor of a white sandy beach.

It is so unusual to find a peaceful secluded male and female separate beaches. During the time we visited there was a wedding going on so everyone was on the male beach. It is reasonably priced as it pays for the upkeep of the beaches. I would love to go back and spend longer next time.

It's a must visit. Great place to hide away for a couple of hours, with no distractions. The tidal pool is amazing, and a great place to do a little bit of rock climbing & rock pools to have a look in.

Interesting to visit the pool and beaches at both high and low tide. The admission price allows you to return on the same day.

There was not much to actually see on the beach after the Tunnels, but if you like to read about local history it is well worth the few pounds entry fee

Personally, I wouldn't spend the admission price just to see the tunnels, although its a good piece of history, it takes 10 minutes to do so isn't a day thing however, its perfect if its sunny, you can look at the tunnels and then spend the day down the beach. However, make sure its after 12 as the sun doesn't... More
