We very much enjoyed our visit to Chambercombe Manor. We arrived on foot through banks of wild garlic and primroses on a very beautiful day. Chambercombe is a very interesting place and it was very quiet and peaceful there. The gardens were extensive and very lovely. The ghosts were obviously having a day off!

This isn't the usual holiday attraction. But it is definatley not to missed. We went on a Thursday so it was quite quiet, just me, my partner and the tour guide who was lovely. The tour was not all about the ghost stories, we learnt the whole, rather bloody history of the house, which is truly imteresting. Luckily we had... More

If you visit Ilfracombe be sure to visit Chambercombe manor, me and my young daughter took the guided tour around this truly haunted building, and we loved every minute of it, the guides are very well informed and the tour takes over an hour and are filled with such interesting tales of the place, definately worth the money and has... this is not exactly something I go out of my way to visit. However, we did and joined in on the guided tour of the house which gave the most fascinating 'true story' spoken out by the lovely friendly tour guide. The house steeped in history was really quite something and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and have recommended this... More

Originally we had planned to do an unguided tour of the house but had gone on the wrong day to do this. However, we were very pleased to have had the informative guide as they (trainee guide and experienced guide) were full of interesting information and tales of hidden bodies! Gardens were disappointing but may be prettier when spring kicks... More

Been to the Manor on two previous occasions and whilst waiting for the tour of the house called into the cafe on site. Lovely and clean with all sorts of lovely snacks at reasonable prices. Time now to go into the Manor House. Really intresting but very creepy and the guide tells you the story and history of the house.... More

Again a good place to spend an afternoon, afternoon tea is really good, have a devonshire cream tea if you have a visit. Very nice!

The story telling was great and captivating. The Teashop cakes were the best!! The gardens are worth a walk around. Parking is a bit limited but considering it is manned by volunteers it is well worth a visit.

I heard stories of this place being haunted and a must see. It wasn't quite what i expected, it is essentially just a house with stories attached to it. And that is all they are "stories".
