We visited Carew Castle on returning from Haverfordwest. Unfortunately due to time restraints we didn't get to visit the mill however the very helpful and pleasant gentleman at the reception said we could return to visit the mill on the same ticket which was very nice. The Castle itself is set in some beautiful countryside and although relatively small it... More

The castle is in a beautiful place, in the middle of nowhere. So green, pleasent views all around. The staff is so helpful and friendly. Very nice to visit and take some sandwiches to eat. Plenty of benches. There is a mill too where you can have cakes and coffee over the summer period. Dogs are welcome as long as... More

really good value for money. Cheap entry and plenty to explore. I loved the fact that 3 stories of one side of the castle were accesible giving you the opportunity to wander around and imagine what life there may have been like. The newly added roof on the lesser hall is beautiful, my only criticism being that the windows were... More

Well worth a visit if you are interested in history. New reception unit still being built when we went. The tidal mill was fascinating, our ancestors certainly weren't dumb. More to see than first impressions.

Not the most extensive castle I've visited in Wales, but still worthwhile. You entrance fee also covers the mill which is also quite good.

Then this is one to visit. Carew is located on the bank of a large tidal mill pond that compliments the castle perfectly. A foot path surrounds the castle and lake, making it the perfect location for an early morning or summers evening stroll. just beautiful, and a pub is just across the road - marvelous!

We live local and was looking for something we could do as a family day out, we’ve often past the castle in the distance bt never been for a visit. It cost us £12 odd for 2 adults and 2 children 9&5, at first the children said it would be boring our eldest just wants a roller coaster every time... More

Enjoyable visit to this historic setting. One could imagine its once greatness and the many turbulent times the castle endured. The river walk past the Tidal Mill is a must. Friendly greeting with a short guide given on arrival, return it on departure

There was a lot of work going on building a new visitor's centre when we visited. Once finished there will be toilets and a shop onsite. The castle is much more complete than it first appears and we were lucky enough to talk to a couple of people who worked in the castle who were very knowledgeable which made it... More
