Carmela and Alfonso are the wonderful owners of this shop. I wished I had more money to spend so that I could have bought more examples of their beautiful work!

My husband and I got married and honeymooned in italy and bought some 2 pieces from here to commemorate our trip and marriage. The selection was great BUT i'm posted this for anyone who needs to use their international shipping! Take note if anything arrives broken. Our pieces came in the mail 2 days after we arrived home and upon... More

My wife and I visited this shop yesterday and ordered a coffee table. They have more interesting design work and high quality products. The tables are actually volcanic rock and the designs are painted and then fired in a kiln. Prices include shipping and insurance. The owner and his wife spent time making sure the design was exactly what we... More

My wife calls it “pottery” but the Italians call it “ceramics,” and you can’t visit the Amalfi Coast without passing dozens of shops with brightly colored plates, bowls, and an infinite variety of decorative items. But not all the shops are the same. Don’t buy until you see the shops in Ravello, and particularly Ceramiche d’Arte Carmela My wife and... More

I visited Ravello 3 weeks to go and visited this shop, mainly due to the positive remarks from other guests on several websites. I felt the quality and variety of the ceramics in the shop was exceptional. From vases to platters to wall sconces to piggy banks, this shop had the best choices. I shopped every other ceramic shop in... More

Every time I go to Italy, I make it a point to stop at Ceramiche d"Arte Carmela. They have an excellent selection of first rate ceramics. I've never had a problem with service.

While on a bus tour of The Amalfi Coast, we briefly stopped in Ravello. This stunning pottery store was one of our first Ravello stops and I could not believe the wide array of ceramics. Numerous Hollywood stars have shopped & had their photos taken with the artist, Carmela. She assisted me & my two daughters personally. I bought two... More

We were staying in Positano to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. They were looking to replace their everyday dinnerware with something special. We had visited Ravello before and were well aware of the quality of the ceramics in this village and had heard about this shop. Certainly it was beautiful and there was a large selection to view. Unfortunately... More
