we loved the little streets and the roof top dining at the restraunts of which there are lots to choose from and many little shops of jewellery and leather
Been staying in this village, one or two weeks a year for the past 18 years!! been all over the world but this is a piece of paradise. A must visit if your in Rhodes but staying in another resort. The bars, restaurant and people are the best and friendliest by far.
Enjoyed exploring the traditional narrow streets. Of course there are lots of what I call "Tourist tat" shops as you near the Acropolis route, but nice to experience the ambience of the hustle and bustle of the "square" where all the donkeys are, you cant not look round if you are visiting the Acropolis and it would be a shame... Lovely place. definetley worth going to :) Take a ride on a donkey called Lindos taxi, will take you fron botom of village to the top where views are amazing.
The village of Lindos was one of our favorite places of the whole trip (we also went to Athens, Santorini, Mykonos, and visited more of Rhodes). It was quieter than some of the other places we visited, the Acropolis was beautiful, the beach was warm and sandy, and the village was lovely with the white washed buildings along the hill... More
As my friend climbed up to the Acropolis, I discovered the beautiful streets, fun shopping, and a delicious cappuccino at a taverna with a gorgeous view. The shopkeepers were so helpful (not pushy as we experienced in other places), spoke English to me (which I really appreciated), and patiently helped me with a few Greek words that I was learning.... Beautiful winding narrow streets, can get busy during the day. Lovely rooftop cafes & resteraunts, can be a bit pricey. The walk down is quite steep, but worth it. Didn't pay the 6 euros to get into the Acropolis but the views are fantastic; I reccomend the donkey ride back down.
the town is great, nice taverna's to eat and drink at. most of which have roof top areas, lots of quirky little alleyways full of shops etc.
The streets are amazing narrow with shops either side. Great places to eat and staff that only want to help. At the end of the week could nearly find my way around. Most places have roog gardens which always give you a spextactacular view of the acropolis and the lovely town
