Put on your walking shoes, grab a map with historic points of interest and enjoy your day/half day depending on how many stops you do along the journey. Loved the old terrace houses, The hero of Waterloo pub for a quick drink (will go back for a meal). Meander around all these streets and will be lost in your imagination....

Great pubs and some great eats if you choose the right places. Do some research before you visit here, you can get some fantastic eateries at a reasonable price if you choose the right place.
I loved the rocks area, the buildings were beautiful and it had a great night life . real lively at night and had a great day market going on while I was there
A great place to visit especially the markets on the weekend. Get some chocolates and some great handicrafts. Nice views of the bridge too
We spent 2 days at the Rocks..Sunday we spent at the craft market, best market I have ever been too..So many crafters with there wares..prices exceptional and choice of goods awesome..
Recommend visiting the Lord Nelson Hotel and microbrewery and strolling through the streets, learning about Sydney's past. There are also a number of walking tours available. Many pubs offer luncheon meals with harbour views from their rooftops.
Yes it's busy on the weekends...but it's still charming and a delight to walk around. Don't rush it. Enjoy the small streets and markets and cafes etc. Can't wait to go back again!
Its a nice view of the old town and conveniently located near circular bay. We visited the place on a Friday walked from circular bay. There is a market on Friday but not much stalls. Its a good place for those who enjoy markets but there is a small variety of eating places but mostly english style dining such as sandwiches and tea, coffee etc.
