This is a stunning walk at any time of day but beautiful at sunset too. I had my wedding reception at the Opera House and our photos done in the Botanic Gardens (many years ago) so this walk is special to me.
We walked from kings cross down to the harbour through the park and on to the opera house it is stunning you really get a feel for the place see the different rock formations and see lots of different wildlife .
amazing view of the harbour, a true sydney experience. You cannot visit Sydney without doing this walk. it's peaceful and the nature along the harbour is stunning.
No matter what time of the day you are around the Opera House it is an amazing experience. Walk around the Opera house and the botanical garden is so peaceful and so relaxing.
The walk from the Sydney Opera House through the Botanical Gardens and onwards to Mrs Macquarie's Chair and Wolloomooloo Bay is one of the classis Sydney walks on a sunny day. The Botanical Gardens sits on Farm Cove which was landing place for the First Fleet into Sydney Town. The name Farm Cove was given because it was the location...

It was just beautiful and the morning breeze was just breathtaking. Had lots of photos taken and make a wonderful memories.
Fabulous. Botanical gardens are great. Lovely cafe where they do great meals or restaurant above but we didn't use that. Beautiful flowers etc and well kept gardens.
When we were there in April 2013, there was some reconstruction in progress necessitating a climb over a temporary bridge. However, wait until you have cleared the scaffolding and the view of the Opera House from the Botanic Gardens is excellent. The Gardens themselves are also fine and a pleasant place to sit a while away a few minutes.
It is just a great walk, with water views. Biggest problem is so many people on the path, runners walkers, strollers.....But worth the effort.
