This is a museum you must see. I has some interesting aircraft and some with interesting histories. The Lancaster Bomber is just amazing. A museum for all ages.
Great museum with Friendly people. This is the best Aviation museum i have visited. (And i visited a lot of aviation musea in europe and australia)
The museum runs private tours of certain exhibits as a present I received a tour of the Lancaster bomber. I was not too sure on what to expect but it turned out to be a very good experience. I was greeted at the door at 8:30am (tour times are by appointment) and given a comprehensive history of the aircraft by... More
We went when the weather was bad and had a good walk round, the highlights being the Lancaster and Catalina. Some good displays and history for a reasonable price. You could see the enthusiasts working there really love their work.
My Dad who sadly has just recently gone to the 'big airplane playground in the sky' was a rear gunner in the Lancaster's in WWll & has also flown in the one @ this museum. When it was situated for display @ Perth Airport for many years we as small kids used to climb all through this majestic beast with... More
Lots to see and read-more than we could possibly manage in the three hours we spent there. I thought the volunteers were really friendly and helpful, and the displays great. Great value for the $7.50 each we paid. I think you'd get more out of it than me if you really loved aviation or war! The big, beautiful, restored Catalina... More
A great way to spend 2 hrs with my 5 yr old, looking at planes, engines, and history. Totally worth it!
Imperative you take your kids to the Aviation Heritage Museum. Get them off the computer and into walking through this magnificent piece of their heritage. To see the planes, to hear the stories of these magnificent men in their flying machines. They will not be forgotten with Museums such as the Aviation. Congratulations to all of those concerned, especially the... More
If you have any interest in aviation or military history, this is not to be missed. A beautifully restored Lancaster, a Catalina and a Dakota are the stars of the show but every inch of the hangars is crammed with aviation history. The museum is not large but it is packed with enough fascinating oddities to occupy an interested visitor... More
As one of the most isolated cities on Earth, aviation plays an important part in the history of Perth. (Imagine how long shipping everything by sea or overland would take!) I was initially put off in visiting this attraction thinking that it was in a too far out of the way location, but getting there turned out to be very... More
