13 km of corrugated road on a potentially dangerous road. The 50 kph speed limit was never reached, but the views were spectacular. It was raining so we didn't do the walks, but others who did said they were worthwhile.

Wonderful views. A great place for photo opportunities and scenic views to make you relax and enjoy the holiday even more.

40mins from Queenstown/downtown.. good for playing around in the park and checking out the kickers. Take your own food with. Not so great for actual runs in my opinion, Coronet (lovingly refered to as concrete) peak better for playing around on a board

Even if you don't ski or board, this mountain is worth a look. There are very beautiful views and some great photographers that will take your photo. Pretty decent runs as well.

Enjoyed the ski trip. The runs are longer but the snow wasn't too good on the day I visited so I was taken out but a snow boarder. The Remarkables is NZSki's 'second' ski area, behind the much more profitable Coronet Peak, and it shows in the level of investment they put into both fields. We stayed in the Remarkables area. Was breathtaking. The sun was shining. Would be amazing in the winter time when the slopes are covered in snow. Excellent for skiing.

We drove to the top (base of the ski slopes) of the Remarkables in January (mid Summer) so skiing was out of the question. We were hoping for a pleasant drive and some spectacular views.
