Went to the Mucha exhibition here this week; it was a good selection of his work, of which I've only seen a glimpse before. Well worth a look. The whole building is a stunning Art Nouveau extravaganza; the Mucha is on the top floor so you get to see the whole building on the way up. The cafe and restaurant... More

A massive building with beautiful art deco restaurants, concert halls etc. Even if you don't have time for the official tour, it's worth having a wander around, it's beautiful.

A grand tourist concert in a magnificent hall drew us there for starters, then the American bar whetted the appetite for more, then some excellent restaurant food at reasonable prices, notforgetting the 1 hour tour of the fantastic building. An easy place to use as a walking base around Prague knowing there was a reasonable resting place in magnificent surroundings

We didn't pay for the complete tour, but wandered in and walked everywhere you could for free--up the stairs until we were mildly motioned to go down, to the bathrooms below, the American bar and the restaurant on the ground floor. The mosaic tilings were beautiful as well as the architectural structure. Loved the bar and had we had more... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the Muncipal House. We had drinks at the American Bar and a delicious dinner in the French Restaurant. Also attended a lovely concert.

If you like Art Deco/Nouveau this is a must see building. Take the tour and have a drink in the American bar downstairs. A wonderful couple of hours topped of sipping champagne. Shame they did not have any guide books in English!

We ate dinner in a restaurant in the basement of this wonderful building. Do not miss this basement! The metal work on the stair rails is gorgeous. But was I really loved was the tile work murals on the walls. And the food in the restaurant was great too!

This building should be one of the wonders of the world. It was built at a time of unequaled opulence, when money was no object. The sound quality in the concert room is terrible but use it as an excuse to visit this building and see it at night. Every room was designed from the ground up by a different... More

The building itself is well worth a visit, it is awesome. We saw the special Mucha exhibition...these are works owned by tennis great Ivan Lendl. It was absolutely fantastic. Could have spent more than the 2 hours we were there for.
