The Fisherman's Bastion right next to the St-Matthias Church is a great place to visit. Nice atmosphere, great architecture.

Best views from this point, well worth a visit, lovely area, lovingly restored, pay a little extra for the turret views.

The architecture is beautiful overlooking Pest. However, it is not worth spending money on admission as only a small section is restricted. The other section of the Bastion is allowed public access for free and the views are similar.

See this place at the Budapest castle for both it's own beauty but also for the view out over the river toward Pest and especially for a great view of the parliament. Great view, especially of the Pest side of Budapest. Worth it to come up to the Castle District for it. If you come later in the day, you can avoid some of the crowds and have whatever view point you'd like! Also provides for some great pictures at dusk/night of a lit up Budabest

It was loaded with tourists and the best spots were occupied by restaurants. But still you can find nice spots to enjoy the panoramic views of the city and take pictures if the Parliment building.

You can take good photographs from here. Be aware that part of this is a bar/restaurant so don’t wonder in. Other than that there are plenty of viewpoints.
