Nice atmosphere at night. Enjoy the salsa & the rum. Very easy to reach by foot and also very safe. Definitely worthy to visit it.

A walk up the hill to Plaza Mayor through cobble stoned streets was a delight. We couldn't see inside the cathedral at the top but we enjoyed the various music venues around it such as Canchanchara and Casa de las Trova. and many others. There was also a band playing near the steps at the side of the Cathedral and... More

What the local government and the Ministry of Cultural are cooking for the 500 anniversary of Trinidad (Cuba) is still a mistery, but anyways this is the place to celebrate this birthday. This is the best preserved colonial Plaza in Cuba. It's realy a must for those interested in history and architecture.

Plaza Mayor is a step back into the past, with its cobblestone streets, beautifully restored 18th and early 19th century buildings, an austere but impressive church and a grassed and tree filled central area. A must see when visiting Cuba

Very pretty centre of a beautiful small town. Blue and yellow painted houses, particularly attractive in the late afternoon sunlight. Palm trees and painted ceramic vases. A good and unusual viewpoint is from the viewing tower of the Palacio Cantero, an interesting old house near the square (this closes at 5 p.m. so it's best to be at the top... More
