climb 450 steps to top of hill where religious relic supposed to reside. You will need the café to refresh before enjoying spectacular views of the city

This hilltop provides a great view of holguin we went in the night the light of the city were gorgeous. There is no admission fee. We had a mohitoes at the one bar on the hill, very highly recommended.

We took a cab here; to say the least interesting...but I would not recommend taking a cab. Was a longer drive then originally planned.

did not get to walk up steps, not enough time, did enjoy the view from the top. They was a young man selling his art and a little table set up to buy trinkets. There is a little area where people can light a candle, Catholic religion Would like to climb the stairs..

Went up as part of Sunwing's " Farewell Tour" on our last day. The bus ride up is very interesting, if the tour guide is talking don't look at her/him; listen, but don't miss the scene outside your window. The view of Holguin is wonderful from the top. No beggars or vendor hassles.

A large hill with a cross at the summit there are a lot of steps to reach the top 458 in total each of which are nearly a foot high there are no handrails so this increases the difficulty of the climb there are small benches at regular intervals but if your fitness is not the best I would recommend...

Scary bus ride up the hill. But amazing to see Cuba at that view. interesting to climb in the tower that was there!

A spectacular view back over the city but only really on a clear part of the day. Avoid the mid-day sun as the climb is not easy, 450 high steps and no hand rails but some small stone benches are available as you proceed up to the top. If you fitness issues be careful as the climb is not easy....

- but I counted 459 steps ! I agree with those saying, wait to climp the stairs untill after 1600- where you will have some shadow to one side of the steps. If you get dizzy easily dont do it. You could stay in Casa de Rosa just down the street she makes a very good chicken and has a...
