Amazing! A horse riders dream! Fantastic horses, well schooled yet fun to ride in the most idiyllic of locations. Great guides brought us out on our rides who had a extensive knowledge of the local area, culture, and floral and fauna. We spent 3 days riding with the stables, including one over night experience through the local region and jungle.... More

WOW! What a wonderful way to see the mayan mts. As a world traveler I am seeking adventure. It is always great to find beautiful places to explore. The only thing that makes it better is exploring great places with great people. Our guide Santiago was so professional and passionate about his work and his community. I felt completely safe... Enjoyed riding horses to Xunantunich and back. Was a highlight for my two daughters, and was not difficult for me even though I had never ridden a horse before.

It's been almost two months since our visit to Belize, and we're wishing, every day, that we were still there (winter in Canada will do that to you!). Our first day in Belize we spent spelunking with Carlos ("the cave man") and had a most amazing adventure, full of spirituality and gratitude for the beautiful country these incredibly proud people... Went to Xunatunich on a horseback tour with Santiago. His horses were very well trained, so this is a great activity for someone who isn't incredibly confortable on a horse. Beyond providing a unique way to see the surrounding countryside and ancient history, Santiago is an extraordinarily entertaining, accommodating, and informative guide. After the official tour, he took us to... More

I am a horse lover but let’s just say my husband doesn’t quite share my passion! He agreed to spend a day on horseback riding up to Xunantunich, mostly I expect, because he loves me! This ride was the first thing we did on our two-week stay in Belize, and we both agree that it was one of our very... More

By far the most memorable adventure we had in Belize! I am an avid horseback rider and loved the trail ride. Santiago is super accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly. We took a private tour with him and it was well worth it! My boyfriend does not ride and absolutely loved the experience. It is by far the best way to head... More

Xunantunich! On a horse! Yes! I can't imagine any better way to get to the Xunantunich archaeological site than by using Hanna Stables. I've ridden with Santiago many times, as have the kids, and we all love his style and the way he describes the sites along the way. And his horses are very well kept; I'd say they are... More

We had already been to several Mayan ruins (which is not to understate that Xunantinich is an amazing site), so were really more interested in a chance to see the countryside. We were not disappointed, but the best part is Santiago who is a great ambassador for San Ignacio and the country of Belize. If you are worried that this... More

We just returned home from our second visit to Hanna Stables. After last year's overwhelmingly awesome trip, (my wife actually tears-up when we reminisce ) we were ready for our second experience at Hanna Stables to be less engaging. We were wrong. Santioga once again wowed us with great horses, great staff, unbelievable scenery and an equally awesome lunch. Beyond... More
