The trip to the market to see all the different ingredients was informative. The cooking class was an eperience to remember. I recomend taking the full day class instead of the half day class. The authentic food taste so much better.

Before going to Chiang Mai in November I knew I wanted to do a cooking course so after a bit of research on TripAdvisor (TA) I found Siam Rice Thai Cookery School. A quick and easy online application form later a place was booked and the positive reviews on TA weren't wrong! We had a fabulous day cooking some traditional... More

Absolutely loved this cooking class! It was so much fun and the instructor Bumpot was really cool and spoke very good English! Even though this was my first time cooking, the food was delicious. I did the full day course and it was worth every penny.

We were glad we did the cooking class (half-day), as it gave us a solid understanding for basic Thai cuisine, while having a lot of fun. I wish we had done this earlier in our trip, so we'd have a better appreciation for the food we were eating.

We just returned from an afternoon-evening cooking course with Sism and the team. It was an excellent activity, great combination of fun, learning and meeting new people! During our 4hr course, we visited a local market and learned about the different spices and ingredients in Thsi cooking. We then cooked 4 dishes of choice (individual choices!) and filled our bellies... More

Fantastic experience. I strongly dislike cooking, but Pot & Nancy made it fun. I think the extended family took fun in giggling when I ate their rat snake and lizard stew. Great education at the Thai market beforehand, and a fun time all around. I wish we would have taken the full-day course.

Recommended by our hotel, didn't think would enjoy it at first but got picked up on time. We decided to go for just half a day and were joined by another couple. Hubby, can't cook , won't cook absolutely loved it too. We made soup, noodles, the pastes that go into curries and then the curries. You eat as you... More

Our day-long cooking class was certainly one of the highlights of our vacation. Everything from Sim, our instructor, through to the food and excellent conversation with the international collection of students were wonderful. Not to brag, but this really was some of the best Thai food we ate on our trip. Despite an initial snag where the cooking school accidently... More

The staff at our hotel recommended this when we inquired about cooking classes in the area. We loved the entire experience and it was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The course begins with a visit to the market to learn about traditional Thai ingredients, very informative and lots of great photo ops. We did the half day... More

We did the evening class and it was really fun. Sim the chef taught us everything, and pottered around us making sure each person made the dishes they wanted. It was a really relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, and everything really runs like clockwork so you feel you are creating dishes you can do again back at home (which taste delicious!).... More
