This is a national memorial to a very important local cause which lead to the freedom struggle. The memorial itself is large, with plenty of visitors. There are lots of snack vendors, families and because it is meat the University there are groups and couples ambling around. It is very pleasant.
It is advised you take off your when you enter the premises, many don't. Even Bangladeshis themselves, but it is show respect for all those who lost their lives for us to speak bangla
