This has to be one of the best archaeology museums in the world. While I would not put it on the same level as the one in Athens or the British Museum, it is truly a great museum and I enjoyed it a great deal. One of my favorite things in Istanbul. more

The collection of Roman artifacts is outstanding and is better than the British Museum. Alexander the Greats tomb is spectacular. more

This is an incredible place! There is so much to see from all of the ancient civilizations of the Middle East. Especially if you have a knowledge of the Old Testament, you'll all kinds of things from the kings who menaced the Israelites - Sargon! Tiglath-Pilesar!
