Not much for one to see yet, but if you are forward thinking person, you'd enjoy the quick ride out to the desert. The very cool driverless People Motion Cars are worth the (free) price of admission. Well, this is a start, I guess. There's little and actually less than that. It seems unfinished, quite small, and while the overarching idea and theme are commendable; if Abu Dhabi can't make it work or isn't committed - which enters the mind when one visits - who can?

We went on a whim because we were looking for something in a grocery store that happened to be there. It's a neat place. Concepts are commendable. I'm glad I went but I wouldn't tell anyone to go there unless they had run out of other ideas.

I love certain elements of Masdar and the cars are fun for the kids but i was disappointed by the fact they don't get their vendors to adhere to environmental principals - in one food outlet i could only get my coffee in a "to go" cup despite asking to dine in - they need to put their eco-words into... Decided to take a trip to Masdar City to get an insight in to future green initiatives. The driverless shuttle cars are excellent and gives an insight into what is possible. That said, I think the City is still in its infancy in terms of being a real tourist attraction but as an education on some elements it is great.... More

I liked everything about this place, we all should visit it without question you should visit this place.

This is an attempt at the world's first sustainable city. The concept is interesting but not much of the city is yet completed so don't expect to see much as of this writing. The fully electric car ride with no driver is fun but not something to go out of your way to see.
