We visited pyramids as a part of our tour with Diamond Egypt tours (I highly recommend btw),it is a wonderful impressive place to visit. don't forget to buy cold bottled water before you go because it is really hot. Entry ticket is about 10$ but you must pay in local currency, that in case you are travelling by yourself but if... More

The reason to visit Egypt are these pyramids. Dating back to almost 4500 years, it is amazing to see the glory of what is left of these wonderful structures. Tip 1.hire a proper guide and visit theese sites. Tip 2. Take a leisure tour around and soak into the history, budget 3 hrs minimum. Tip3 . Buy the additional tickets... More

I had always wanted to visit the pyramids and the sphinx, and so was excited to finally go. The pyramids are imposing, but are not quite as wonderful as I'd have liked. The guards are not great; they are not supposed to let you stand on the pyramids, but they say it is ok, then want money for a drink!... More

Went to see the Giza Pyramids on a long day trip during our holiday to sharm. This is a must do trip for anyone who comes to Egypt. We took a private car to get to cairo. Then hired a private carousel with guide for £200 egyptian once we got thier. This kept all the touts away. We got some... More

Wow! what an amazing place to visit! A life long dream to see the pyramids and sphinx, and I was not disappointed. We were in absolute awe of the sheer size of the pyramids, and the manpower required to build them (without modern technology). You can also go inside a pyramid, access alternates between pyramids, and check out the solar... More

I saw the Giza pyramids several years ago and was looking forward to seeing them again. They are still absolutely beautiful and breath taking but the overall experience has been completely ruined. Unless you are with a guide or on a tour, expect to be hassled and harassed. We were trying to catch a taxi to get to the pyramids... More

Staying at the magnificent Mena House, under the shadow of the Pyramids, made my trip so much better because of the location and ease of getting everywhere. Shopping at the Golden Eagle Bazaar and the Golden Eagle Papyrus was an interesting but very enjoyable time. I spent way too much but had a blast and no regrets. Mr Mostfa from... More

if you are going alone and not part of a group or a tour, choose the carousel (chariot pulled by a horse) to stay in the shades and have a relatively comfortable ride. Bargain the prices requested by guides always. Try riding the Camel for photos. Don't go to the museums of Papyrus and the shops selling the scented oils,... More
