Took a break in this quiet and simple Island. Stayed there 3 nights in a friend's house. Really enjoy walking around the village and visit the beach. Such a high contrast with the lifestyle in HK. There are some young people staying in the village and travel to HK for works. Even though many hours are spend on travelling. The... More

Went to check out the beach and the insanely fresh seafood they offer here. Instead of a menu, you can pick your seafood live and wriggling and tell your waiter how to prepare it. Some shopping and lots of treat and snack vendors. Nice place to get away from the business of the city

This is one of those little side trips you take if you have the time and are a regular visitor to Hong Kong. Or! if you like seafood this is the place to visit. There is a regular ferry to Lamma Island and it visits 2 ports on the island. I got dropped off at a little fishing village and... More

Nothing special however it’s a trip worth to make to enjoy a car and motorbike free environment, good seafood and a nice 40-minutes ride on a ferry.

Good trip there with boat from Central / IFC pier 4. Walked from one harbour to the other, stayed at beach for a while. Had a really good day at Lamma :-) Very easy to get there and away.

Don't expect glitz. It's a countryside where you will escape from the hustle and bustle of city noise and pollution (no cars allowed). There were a few quaint cafes and even a butchery selling different cheeses and meats. Worth a meander.

Just 25 mins ferry from Central and you'll reach Lamma Island. Great for escaping a little bit from the city center without going reli far away. Just like the other outlying Islands in Hong Kong, Lamma Island has preserved many features of the traditional Hong Kong. Seafood, yum cha, beach, hiking trails, vocational houses, also famous for the three wind... More

Take a tour bus up and you get to view a lot of life and vegetation on the way. It's easy and no hassle. But we were early by 1 minute and were told off as it would seem this was late. You arrive then and can go to the monastery and have lunch with the monks and masters. You... More

Visited Lamma for the day to get away from the Hong Kong madness and had a great time. A relaxing and cheap ferry trip to Yong Shue Wan and a stroll around the villages, followed by a lovely meal at the Waterfront Restuarant and a few drinks. After lunch we again had a walk, buying some cute and well priced... More

Lamma Island is one of the bigger islands in Hong Kong and it is a ferry ride away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Once you reach the island, transportation is mostly on foot and bikes. The beach is a cool place to hang out and swim or just have fun with friends and family. The island offers... More
