So the Underground River is interesting, but getting there and away was far more special and memorable. Riding on the roof of a jeepney through twisting jungle roads reinforces how remote Palawan is. Its definitely a different experience. A unique world, that very few people see. And its worth the long 2 hour road trip to get ther and another 2 hours back. How we got there: We flew from Manila to Puerto Princesa, Palawan. It's an hour flight, and several airlines fly this route. During the summer, there are about 7 daily flights, but fewer flights during the rainy season.
