After spending the morning in the city we were glad to find some peace. We first spent an hour or two walking around the lake, we ate traditional Romanian sweet snacks, stopped to take photos and admire the views. Parking was only 1.5 lei per hour. A beautiful place, expansive, and full of the true spirit of Bucuresti. Full of young people, and with lots of beautiful views.
The park is big and the lake definitely makes the place more relaxing and escaping the "city fast life". During the holidays there are a lot of nice events and thematically activities.
This park is huge with some really nice grounds. It was a sunny day when we went and there were lots of local families were there enjoying the day.
A huge park for relaxing. for children they are offering some attraction and it is recommende to take a tour in the small touristic boats.

Having many great memories from the Herastrau park as a child, I really wanted my daughter to see it and enjoy the lovely scenery . May is the best month to be there. Lovely flowers and great place for a beautiful walk.
Very nice, big and green park. In the weekends or holidays it's crowded. In the week days you find very young and very old people enjoying a peaceful place.
