Postira was my favorite village in Croatia. It is not filled with tourists and has no modern construction except for the hotel. All old old stone buildings, fishing boats everywhere. I visual paradise. Hvar was great but Brac was amazing.

The island has so many beautiful places. I loved the center/habor of Supetar (not spoiled yet with yachts all over the place and the population that goes with it), Milna in the ligth of sunset, Lozisca and its white stone houses hanging in the hills, Pucisca with it's habor hidden from the sea, Vidova Gora and its spectacular view and... Easy day trip, go early. Bol is more Resort style however a walk up to the Golden Beach was good. Supetar had more cafes and points of interest however on saying this it is still early in the season.

Brac Island is easily reached by ferry (1 hour) and a nice day trip out of Split. Walk along the paved trail following the shore to see a lovely church and cemetary by the sea. Enjoy the peacefulness!

Brac is a beautiful island but we visited in early April, and the towns were dead, hard to even find a shop open, however it does offer the chance to see some spectacular scenery without crowds of people, would recommend a day trip in low season.

We've been there in april and that was somewhat early, for the diving season was not yet started after the winter was cold and long. But the island is peacefull with pinetrees, sheeps and stones. Nature is origine. The beaches are made out of pebbles, no sand. Along the shores there are trees so when the sun is to powerfull... More

Loved it!. Osibova Bay on Brac Island is beautiful and unspoiled. Not touristy at all which is why we loved it so much. We are going back this summer. We booked Villa Maritima I from croatia4rent.com. Our friends booked Villa Maritima II also from Croatia 4 Rent. Erich Schmidt the owner was really helpful and gave us lots of useful... More

I made an independent day tour to Brac Island. First, I reached Supetar, a pleasant village on the sea shore, with the ferry from Split. After visiting Supetar, its lovely beach and its cemetery with an imposing Art Nouveau mausoleum, I traveled to Bol with a local bus that passed through a beautiful landscape. From Bol I took a tourist... More

This is a really beautiful white pebble beach which was very crowded in summer but still lovely as it is so picturesque. The walk there from the bus passes under trees and is very pleasant and out of the hot sun. A great spot. If you like nudist beaches, there is one there too, beyond the main beach.

We traveled by ferry to Brač to check out local history of stone quarries (used to build Diocletian’s Palace in Split and part of the US White House.) Stayed at a restored Renaissance palace overlooking Pučišća Bay. After some hiking, we came upon several secluded, pristine beaches where we swam and picnicked. Check with locals for routes.
