Awesome day, we boated up river in a long dug out boat, then trekked up through the forest for about 45 mins, had lunch and then rode a elephant back down the mountain across the river back to base camp. Every one was great awesome day would do it again. Thank you all for an amazing day.

I must admit I wasn't sure about coming here. I wasn't sure if I was going to a zoo or a hokey tourist trap. Well, it was for tourists but it was educational, they seemed to have a valuable mission, and it was fun. Riding on An elephant is an amazing experience that I'm glad I did. Lunch was fine.

We really enjoyed ourselves on our 1 day mahout course. We learnt basic commands, did a trek on the howdah and another trek on their backs to take them bathing, enjoyed a dip in the pool and some scrummy food for lunch. Only slightly disappointed as the 'jungle trek' was so short, but in 44°, maybe that was a blessing.
