This is a must see when you are in Chengdu vicinity and the previous contributors had done justice in their reviews. Just like to offer a few tips: 1. Get a tour guide at the officially appointed guide agency at the park entrance. There are so much history and cultural background to this park that the visit will not be... More

Mount Qincheng is the birthplace of ancient Taoism... still several Taoist and Buddhist temples worth visiting. But, you must go on to the back mountain. With a small national park entrance fee, you can go to the ancient village, Tai'an by walking for about 15 minutes. From there, you can hike up along a nice stream, or take a cable... More

This is about 45 minutes or so out of Chengdu by train is the station for Mount Qincheng. When getting off at the station, there are a number of busses (and taxi's) that you can take to the mountain. It will take about another 15 minutes and 2 yuan on the bus. What struck me was how leafy (many trees)... More

Mount Qincheng is divided into front mount and back mount. Front one is famous for religion Dao, the back one is famous for the scenery. Actually both are beautiful in each season, I highly recommend to visit there in summer, it's much cooler than in cities, besides you can enjoy the wild vegetables during summer.

Very natural - lots of streams, ponds, waterfall.....nature!! We took train from chengdu to Qing CHENG Shan station. Took 45 min and cost Rmb15/person one way. After arriving we took minivan (rmb20/person) to the start of the hiking trail (rear of the mountain), you can choose either front or rear of the mountain. They are about 15 min away by... More

Our guide took us to the back mountain which he explained was less touristy and more scenic than the front mountain. The entrance fee was 20CNY per head. The trail followed a stream and the most beautiful scenery we had ever seen. We walked past scenic waterfalls and narrow gorges with streams of the bluest, clearest water we had ever... More

Very relaxing. There are v a lot of temples. Look there is plenty of info on the site online. Trip advisor does not need my input just wanted to rate it. I liked it.

The views are worth the hike. This place is so peaceful even with all the tourists there, still a nice place. Enjoy the hike, take the boat and the cable car, a last 45 min. hike before you reach the pagoda. Amazing
