Boardwalk is only good during the day. Night time you might want to avoid it. The ocean is next to boardwalk which is good.
The area outside Revel was really nice. Was there just after 10pm and it was empty, but the sand, the wind, and the waters were really spectacular.
Walked along the boardwalk to Caesars and the walk wasn't the best, there were lots of shady characters and people begging for money. Probably not a good idea for anybody to walk alone...

Went to Atlantic City for a girls day out and was surprised to see how much more work needs to be done on the boardwalk.
Hurricane Sandy definitely made her mark in this city !!!
Hopefully everything will be back to normal for the summer months and as for me winning at the casinos, I had no luck.

I've always enjoyed the jersey shores boardwalks. I've been on Atlantic city's before with friends on Friday and Saturday nights, and have seen the nonsense that goes on. Tired of every time you set outside of having guys ask you if you would like a ride. Bums asking for money. And worst of all, miles and miles of cheesie souvenir stuff for sale. Once is enough in my lifetime! The entertainment was watching ,"The People of WalMart" walk by.
The boardwalk had your typical souvenir and t-shirt shops, plus some fudge shops and pizza joints. It's pretty run down but you can walk for miles on the very nice boardwalk itself.
My husband and I went to the Revel in Atlantic city. The boardwalk is up and running . It was the same as always. We stay at the Revel . First time ever . It was an amazing casino but very very expensive. The staff was very friendly , rooms and pool very clean.
Always wanted to go to the boardwalk and check it out. Glad I did but seen how the boardwalk must have slipped over the years. The guys with the rolling chairs keep asking you to tame a ride, bums trying to hit you up for money, even seen a guy putting on his panhandling clothes out of the back of...
