A simple old Cathedral but beautiful inside with distinct old architecture. Just a 10 min walk from the old & new lighthouses.
There is nothing much to see in the fort city of Daman, except this beautiful piece of architecture. The wooden carvings are really good & well preserved. There were not many people when we visited, so we were able to sit quite peacefully & feel the divinity.
Located in the fort at Moti Daman, it was deserted when we visited at 4pm on a Tuesday. We were able to sit on the pews and enjoy the serenity without a lot of chattering people. The altar is well maintained and lovely.
Pure and serene - that's this place reminds you of. The place is well maintained (though a bit dusty) but provides you with the peace of mind needed when you go to a church. The interiors are beautiful and worth a visit
Beautiful to see the old architecture and artwork in the Bom Jesus church in Moti Daman. Well worth visiting this wonderful church for it's gilded wood work altar and statues made of wood almost four centuries ago.
There's a peace when you enter this place and the moment you kneel down and join your hands you can feel that connection with the almighty. This church has never undergone any renovation. the structure is made of wood and the colors are almost 400 years old. Visit it and you will know what i am talking about :)
