Bangalore is where the first aircraft (starting with the WWII amphibians of the USAF) were serviced/repaired. The 'factory' in time became Hindustan Aircraft Ltd., and today it is the premiere aviation industry center of India. The aircraft works changed the Pensioners Paradise and the pre-eminent British military station radically. The Americans in the early 40s overwhelmed the cantonment with their... More

Reasonable entry fees, a good alternative to mall visits. Full of information for people interested in the history of aviation in India. But it lacks the hands on experience that we were expecting of the center. The ATC is ill maintained, one can no longer see the runway of the old airport. A demo or something of how it helps... More

One of the very inspiring museum that I have been to. Besides various helicopters and aircraft's display, photo gallery until 1990 is really awesome. After 1990 you will see useless photos displayed. Eg. Visit of an MLA, minister, things insignificant to aviation are present. ATC could be a little improved And please setup true flight simulators.

Good change from visiting Malls of Bangalore. A good collection of fighter planes and helicoptors, though most of the products showcased here have retired from use by Indian defence forces. Lot of information is available for engineering buffs who can absorb it. My kids had gala time as well.

A visit to the Heritage Centre & Aerospace Museum on the Old Airport Road bangalore is fun not only for the kids who love to see the flying machines parked but also for adults. There are a lot of aircrafts on display, from the olden times to much recent - used by the Indian Defence establishments and having a stamp... More

The Hindustan Aeronautical Limited (HAL) Heritage centre and Aerospace Museum is a MUST visit for aviation and engineering buffs.... Very explanatory exhibits, changes to get into a cockpit and do a simulation run..The joy of seeing India's early aircrafts .. Kids enjoyed the place and remember the exhibits after many years...
