Visited palace in mid hot summer with children. It was an visual treat and historical place, the way there are using audio pre-recorded players as a guide is a an interesting and this is first time I encountered. I found the collection, murals, art works, museum all interesting. you need to spend at least 3-4 hours to cover all the things.... More

Interesting experience - the palace is a copy of an English stately home circa 1900, but with over the top Indian decor & a collection of the Maharajah's mildly risque photos & paintings {think Playboy 1900 - mildly scandalous at the time but you wonder why today] They charge you [far more than the Indian rate of course] for photos... They charge 450rupee for foreigner and camera charges 650 rupee additional. It is worth of only 150 rupee including camera I think. It is not worth taking camera at all. So you don't need to pay for camera if you want to go. The best way is not to go here. It's totally waste of time!

Pathetic place and highly charged. Charging Rs 200 for entrance for such a small palace. There is nothing in the palace to see. Only outside palace looks good. From Inside its like any old house. 90 % of rooms are locked and not accessible.

This is a nice small castle in the middle of Bangalore city. The architecture of the building is interesting, however, the castle is poorly maintained so it's not much fun to walk through the palace. The entrance fee including an audio guide is rather high for such a small attraction: foreign visitors pay Rs. 450, or Euro 9,- if you... More

So So place. Really not much of a "palace". Pros:- 1. The palace is neat and clean 2. Easy to reach. 3. Audio guide provided with tickets. Cons:- 1. Not worth of 225 INR ticket per person. 2. The audio jacks were in very miserable condition (really needs to be replaced ). I had to mend one myself (thank goodness... More

What a pity that our visit was totally ruined by the rudeness of the staff working at the palace! From the moment we entered the grounds we were met with abrupt arrogance. A member of staff working in the grounds obviously thought it was acceptable to approach us and continually blow his whistle in our faces. When I asked him... More

This could be a lovely touristic attraction to visit. But the way it is exploited and managed make one's visit very unpleasant. The fees, especially for foreigners, are crazy. The staff is harsh and unpleasant to visitors. And the palace is poorly maintained in many parts of it. My advice: don't visit untill these points are improved. Aka: lower entry... More

This castle is a fantastic landmark. It is covered in greenery and the grounds are stunning. You can take a tour in a little carriage pulled by a horse. However, we were instantly told not to take photos.. We had to first buy a ticket. Foreigners have to pay double the local price, and additional prices to use cameras.. All... More
