Ellora caves are spread out unline Ajanta. The hindu and the Buddhist caves are still in one stretch but the jain caves are a different patch. One needs to move around from one chunk of caves to another by car. All caves are different though most of the sculptures are repetitive after a while. Pick up the ASI booklets available... More

Well I had read a marathi story , in which it was said that the ajanta - ellora caves are very much alive exactly like the older times in the night. Since then I always wanted to see ellora with this viewpoint , inspite of the fact that residing in maharashtra ajanta-ellora were the favorite picnic spots in schools. Well... More

I loved our GUIDE. He gave us such a wonderful background about the whole site. I was visiting the site after 25 years and came away with a whole different perspective.

There are lots of caves and interesting sites here. You won't be hassled by people selling things like the market at Ajunta.

Excellent work of ancient architect. Indian authorities are now maintaining with much efforts. Now it is up to local tourists to maintain the dignity & respect the heritage art work.

All the travel guides say Ellora is one of the must-see sights in India. They aren't exaggerating. I booked a tour with Ashok Travels in Aurangabad (the tour also took in Bibi Ka Maqbara, Daulatabad Fort and a few other places) so with such a packed schedule we could only spend a few hours here. Make this an all-day visit... More

First visit to the awesome ellora caves. Reminds me of our ancient culture and the art. So well maintained by the archaeology department, good job. Lot of history locked in those statues and sculptures.

This is one of the most magnificent sight I've seen in my lifetime of travels. The caves are a part of the extremely rich history of India. The delicate carvings and cuttings are one of a kind and is a sight to be relished. The Kailasha Temple (Cave no 16) is the biggest and the showstopper among the 31 caves... More
