After the Taj Mahal we went to the Agra fort. An impressive structure that is in a way linked tot he Taj Mahal. Nothing spectacular, but a nice historical perspective about how Indai was governed in the 17 th century. Do the Taj MAhal and the Agra fort in one day, it will be a day well spent.
The night light and sound "show" is waisting your time and money. You will get only exactly what you see at the advert: just some light and some sound. That's a real cheating.
The Fort is just heavy built , with aerodynamics and Acoustics to its perfection , it is real gem of Mughals of course for us. The view of Taj from the fort is spectacular . A real treat for the eye

The Agra Fort overlooks the Yamuna River in Agra. Some excellent views of the Taj Mahal are provided from several vantage points. Great Stories abound about the fort and it's residents. Ensure you have a guide or use the audio tour to take full advantage of the significance of the fort in Agra's history.
Agra fort is beautiful on a grand scale! We had a wonderful tour guide who really brought the place to life, showing us all the architectural quirks! There are also some fantastic views of the Taj Mahal across the river!

The place is huge so do take a guide so that you see the important places. However, most guides are slightly biased against the Muslim rulers so just take the far fetched stories with a pinch of salt. This fort is really interesting and has great views of the Taj Mahal across the river. It is worth getting a guide to tell you a bit more about it otherwise there is not that much information available.
