The folks are helpful and in the end, each of us was surprised by the items that we had made. Though much of the finishing and polishing is done by the staff, it is remarkable to see the initial lump of metal become something quite beautiful. This really surprised me. I went with my wife expecting a jewellery shop. What we got was a metalwork shed and foundry. Its very hands-on, hammering, bending, cutting silver and making a piece of jewellery that I will always wear with the pride of having created it from scratch myself.
