I got a ticket for 4000 Rubels and was sitting on the 2nd balcony on a central spot in the 1st row. Good view. One of the best experiences of my live!

Located just a short walkable distance from Red Square. It is one of the stops on the "hop-on/hop-off" bus tour.
A mafia controls the tickets, on approaching the ticket office with a Russian girlfriend we were informed there were no tickets available, I tried to ask various different ways when tickets would be available, only to be told there were no tickets, so we turned away to leave and were immediately besieged by ticket sellers, we bought 4 tickets. A visit to the Bolshoi really is a special experience. After waiting 6 years for the renovations to end, finally the chance to visit arose....and it was worth the wait! The venue is simply incredible, and despite the renovations you really can get a feel for the magnificence and history of the place. We went to see Swan Lake, which...

Not everybody has a bucketlist, but if you have one, a night at the Bolshoi must be on it. Classical ballet, modern dance and childrens' shows. Tickets are not cheap and in high demand, so make sure you plan your visit.
Tickets are expensive Sanchez in Rome and Vienna State Opera, suspicious personnel. Pathos and kitsch.
Well nothing terrible about this trip to the Ballet! What a special thrill to visit the Bolshoi Ballet and see Ivan the terrible a traditional Russian ballet. Dancers , costumes and seats all superb.
I went to the main theater (for Ruslan and Liudmila) and the new stage (for the Rites of Spring, by the Finnish Ballet). both were EXCELLENT. the main stage is more architecturally impressive. Ruslan and Luidmila had AMAZING costumes and set design. It was a wonderful opera, overall. I loved it. The Rites of Spring was also wonderful. Top notch!
I've watched ballets in Paris, St Petersburg, New York City (not yet London ;-) and went for the first time in Moscow see "The Bayadere" by the Bolshoi ballet. Just a must: great building (outside and inside), great dancers, just a great moment. I'd reserved (online at bolshoi.ru) seats in the "parterre". Very expensive (around 250€ per seat) but... it's...
