Like the parks and the rides. The parade at night is spectacular. The food there was really expensive.

I visited with my wife and 2 kids (10 and 8) on Easter Tuesday, so it was busy. We purchased the Express pass tickets at the gate that allow you to skip the queues, very expensive but I would recommend highly if you can afford it and the park looks busy.

On our last trip to Japan, we were lucky enough to be taken to Universal Studios in Osaka. This place is amazing! so much to see and do. Spent all day there, left in the dark, absolutely fantastic. One inspiring feature was the parade at the end of the day, floats were unbelievable!
The constant reminder of not going Universal Studios on a weekend or public holiday was a brilliant idea BUT do take note of the Spring breaks as well. There are tons of people queuing for tickets and entry! Express pass would be highly recommended if you have just planned one day for USJ.
I believe there are certain themes to...

The park is huge and lots of themes there. Similar to the one in States though not as huge. Everyday is crowded with people esp students. Doesn't seems to have any off peak season at all. Rides are not as thrilling as it seems..however, the staff compensated by their cheerfulness and warm reception.
If u've been to Universal Studios in USA, u're in for a 'surprise.' The park mainly features Sesame Street, Snoopy & Hello Kitty theme, although they had a couple of familiar rides, such as Spiderman and Back to the Future. It was real chilly when we went there so we didn't really wanna spend too much time walking out in...

It was either cherry blossoms or (relatively) shorter lines at the theme parks -- we chose the cherry blossoms.
so, naturally, we were in for a "treat" --> we were going to find out just how much the japanese love their theme parks. we started off with universal studios and was pretty impressed.
it was the start of spring break,...

Great rides. Looks beautiful. Themed of course (jurassic park, back to the future, jaws...)
Great amusement park. Beautiful parade right before closing time (7:30pm).
I loved the "express card". it's costly (4900 yen for 7 rides) but you don't have to wait in line then.
Easily reached by subway: just take the HR line at Umeda/Osaka station.
Only downside: sometimes...
