No camels. No white sandy beach. Instead, we got a rubbish pile, an empty ice cream hut and closed down restaurant. Very disappointing.

We called at camel beach as part of our day cruise. There is not much there but a few camels who give short rides similar to the donkey rides on Blackpool beach, People seemed to like them for photo opportunies but I felt sorry for the poor camels.
The camels are treated like slaves which isn't a good look, nice beach but there are about 20 camels tied up which wasn't nice to look at
we visited the camel island while doing a boat trip, there is nothing special except the camels for non-arabic tourists.. i say visit it and have a look by yourself.
Sorry did not like it one bit. . . The beach is great just keep away from the camels you will only get ripped. . . the ride lasts about two minutes. . . and for the cost it's not worth IT honestly
We went on a boat trip from Gumbet and stopped here for half an hour or so, its a very short beach, a few shops/drink/snack bar, a few mangey camels and some toilets, a broken jetty and thats about it!..
The beach area classed as Camel Beach is small and easily crowded once all the boat trip visitors arrive. We stopped here as part of a boat trip, which as a whole was amazing but I didn't rate staying here for as long as we had too. There are camels you can ride, but don't!! Book a proper camel trek...

Great sea water but too small and too crowded for its little size as a bay. Too many sunbeds and umbrellas giving you no space to relax, just in case you dont want to use one of them and get overpriced during August.!
We went to Camel beach on the boat trip. Only 2 camels and to ride it is only 10lira. The only problem is its only a short walk around the corner!!
Visited while on a boat trip. If you have never been a camel then 10 lr per person might be worth it but you will only be on it for about 3 mins and travel less than 50 m. Other than that, few shops and bars
