One of the finest sand beaches on Lake Erie, with recreation areas and beautiful dunes. Great beach glass hunting. The City of Ashtabula is working on a plan to renovate the facilities.
I visited on July 21, 2013 (Sunday). Concession stand was boarded up; restrooms closed. One chemical toilet was available near the concession stand. if you are into sea glass, this can be a great source. check it out in the early Morning. the beach holds so many treasures and unique finds, bring something to carry your finds home.
There are no facilities here , no running water, no vending machines, or vendors and very little shade. Not a bad place if you want to walk a bit to collect beach glass, but would recommend someplace else with more amenities.
