First time bringing the family here, love the water for what it is. Will have to go for the other park cause they won't let you bring dog at Barton pool.

I used to come here when I was a kid. So now that I'm grown with kids of my own, I wanted to come back and bring my kids so they could experience it. It was just like I remembered. The freezing cold water is so refreshing in the summer heat. We were there on a Wednesday afternoon so it...

Great place to relax and cool off... a natural spring... one of the best municipal pools I have ever seen... NO radios, eating or drinking \
Unlike any city swimming pool I've ever seen: a "contained" and managed natural rock formation. Grounds and amenities provide mixture of shade for picnics, fields for recreation. Cute hobby train ride for kids. Paths for biking, walking. We visited when the pool was being set up for opening and imagine it is quite crowded when the weather is just right...

Enjoyed swimming here and the entry price is reasonable. Cool, clear water is refreshing. Slippery bottom though so be careful. Bath house is old but has great charm and i hope they keep its original style if its ever remodeled. Recommended for a couple of hours.
Although it was rather crowded, this place is big enough to handle a crowd. Very well maintained, but VERY chilly! Not being from Texas, I've never experienced this type of pool before. Barton Springs pool was very nice and clean. You have to pay $5 to park or if you don't mind a hike, park at Zilker park and walk.
i love taking my dog here. my young son enjoys going and prefers it to our pool at home. beautiful area. the best of austin.
Liked exploring the park and Barton Springs pool area. Could have been the time of year, but there were bees everywhere on the grassy knoll above the pool.
Pool is a natural springs pool, so it was definitely cold. Overall, was cool to visit and spend an afternoon there. There's a dog-friendly part that was crowded and fun to see....
