about 40 mins away from the city centre pelourinho.. its the longest beach i have ever seen.. white sand and waves to die for.. if u a surfer then this the spot !

Itapoan is great, the lighthouse is beautiful, there are great restaurants and the best beaches in Salvador (Flamengo)

Itapuã Beach is an good option for those with children, because is surrounded by reefs that form natural pools. The sea is calm and quiet. but it's certainly not very safe, particularly in the enfd of the day.
