Abismo Anhumas is a must in Bonito for the adventurous and is worth its price. It is hard to say which part is best - the abseil, snorkeling (or diving) or going up. We visited Abismo Anhumas last April. At this time of the year, there is no direct sun in the cave. I've been told the most beautiful time... More

We booked a rappel and scuba dive in the cave 6 months before, through and external agency, who in turn used a local agency to book with the operator that takes you into the cave. The local agency, it turns out, never actually made a booking with Anhumas, so when we arrived at the agency the day before we were... More

More

For those who like adventure tourism it is the best attraction in Bonito. It begins with a spectacular 70m abseil height that takes you to another world inside the earth almost as fantastic as those seeing in movies. Down the ropes we land on a platform floating on the groundwater, from where we dive to observe the rock formations in... More

It really is like traveling to another country and era. Dive or snorkel if you can... it feels like being in Atlantis...

I'd seen the pictures of this attraction on posters around Bonito but didn't know anything about it. Thankfully my travelling friend wanted to go here, thankfully there was a cancellation on the day we wanted to go (they only allow 18 people per day), and thankfully they had space for a couple of scuba divers (only 4 certified divers per... This is the highlight of our entire Brazil trip! It's a surreal and unforgettable experience to be rappelling 72 metres into a cave, before snorkeling to see 80-meter columns in the waters. There is an option to do diving too. Our guide was wonderful, and took lots of photos for us. Bring a good camera! There is quite a fair... More

The adventure began with some training at their headquarters the day before. The staff were very focused on you and making sure that you knew what you were doing and the risks. After that we were off to the dive shop to try on our diving equipment, which looked well maintained and looked after. The next morning we abseiled down... More

Unforgettable experience. Very professional staff - only a few speak English but those who can are very knowledgeable and definitely know what they do! The snorkelling in the lake is just surreal! Don't forget the training the day before, and bring something a bit hotter when you are down as it can get chilly if you wait before going back... More

NOT for everyone! You'll go down 72 m (equivalent of a building with 24 stories) and up using the same rope. Down there there's a beautiful lake and underwater the biggest cones in the world in a cave. If you can, do a tank dive!
