Many places to eat...Indian and Mediterian were our favorites....many shops...prices were high...much fun...many small hotels near the beach and were not expensive by my standards...

If you're looking for a beach full of fun and lots of alternatives then you'll love haad rin. Nice music on kangaroo bar (deep and tech house), nice shakes on mellow mountain bar. Go there and have lots of fun.

Disgusting, polluted beach packed to the brim with disrepectful, drug-fueled teenagers, abused animals and acid-tripping weirdos. Definitely one to avoid.

Unless it's the Full Moon Party, I see no reason why anyone would stay in Haad Rin. I have been coming to Phangan for 4 years and now live here and would recommend anywhere else to stay.
