A peaceful and calm area which uou can walk freely without any tension in tiny ancient alleys made of tan clay color with arcades and old houses.
It worht it to vist such an old place.I enjoyed walking through the alleys ...Ilike the silence.Still people live there .you can feel the how it looked alike in past .sadgy most of it destroyed.
walking in the old part of Yazd and even the streets ended to the old part is very charismatic. muddy alleys, arches that connect walls and rooftops, tiled domes and historic atmosphere all give you a time travel feeling. what i loved the most to watch kids, playing hide and seek.

I loved the feel of this area and went for a second visit on Friday late afternoon. It was lovely, quite deserted and peaceful - and then I was accosted and molested. it seems this is common, especially on Friday afternoons when everyone stays home.. so women travellers beware
