I had read about Medieval times in history books, yet I did not know if there was anything which existed in our times. Go to the lanes and by lanes of Chandi Chowk. You cannot walk without rubbing your shoulder to any other person, it houses one of the wholesale market of clothes. There is so much to absorb when... More

This is a place where culture and clutter go hand in hand. If you need to see both this is the best place to be. You will need a good 3 hours or even more to explore this place and see how colourful India and Indians can be. Ensure you do not have a car waiting to take you back... More

It's provides a window to old Delhi with its narrow lanes, congested traffic lanes where cycle rikshaws jostle with horse carriages, trucks and tuc-tucs ! The chancing chock is renowned for its small alleyway lanes or Galis as they are called - each specialising in the trade of a particular product- it has Nai sarak which is one of asias... More

People actually come here for the chaos, and that's understandable. And yeah, the chaos (and filth) have some charm (not too much, though). However, make sure you hold on to your belongings and bargain as much as you can as pickpocketing IS a problem and the merchants will try to rip you off with ridiculous only-for-tourists prices. Dare not eat... More

I visited Chandni Chownk with my friend for some shopping. There are numerous markets like katra asharfi, katra nawabi, krishna road, kinari market etc. The shops on the main road are somewhat expensive. Be aware of the agents that take you to some shops. They chase you like anything and you have to be very stern to get rid off them.... More

Chandni Chowk runs through the middle of the walled city, from the Lahori Darwaza (Lahore Gate) of the Red Fort to Fatehpuri Masjid. Originally, a canal ran through the middle of the street as a part of the water supply scheme. It was initially divided into three sections:[4] Jama Masjid, the iconic 17th-century mosque of Chandni Chowk Lahori darwaza to... More

Be prepared for the assault on your senses. Old delhi offers an experience like no other... Old markets, the place has history from the Mughals to the guru dwarf sis ganj- a holy place for the Sikhs. Don't miss the bird hospital to remind you kindness to animals is part of the ancient indian culture. Go with good walking shoes,... More
