I never wrote the review when I went in 2010, so this is a little late and outdated. However, the Expo was magnificent. Just HUGE. It was so much fun to go around to every different countries building and see what they had to offer. Weather it was a projection, movie, interactive games, food, DJ, or other shows, it was... More

I had never been to a World Expo before but I thoroughly enjoyed this event. The number of countries represented were mind boggling and we were mesmerized by the varied country pavilions. The only unfortunate thing was that some were so crowded it was not worth the wait. Also, queues in China are not particularly well organized and respected so... More

On October 2012, me and my two friends went to the Shanghai Expo, we were so disappoint, 60Yuan to go to the Moon boat of the Saudi pavilion, there is only one visual film, nothing else. It is definitely not worth to go anymore.

Most people who know a little about the world know that Expos are not fun-filled Disneyworld theme parks worth queuing hours to attend. This event was simply hyped to try influence any locals who are prone to believing, and no interest in previous or future expos was included. Still, it might have broaden the eyes of some.

This is the original summary from my journal. We went to the Expo on July 2010. I have to say - it was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The Chinese sure know how to make it. BIGTIME! :) The architecture of the pavillions was amazing and creativity was certainly taken to new levels. The Expo site was divided... More

The saudi pavillion "moonboat" was amazing. the Visual projection was both amazing and tells a terrific story about the Saudi culture.

the site is HUGE. Get an EXPO taxi (green/yellow) to drive your right to the ticket entrance (these are the ONLY taxi's allowed to go that far), and plan on walking exteriors, enjoying food snacks from different countries. You will take 100's of photos, since you won;t be able to resist the interesting designs.. Expect to try and enter at... More

My wife and I went to Shanghai to see the World Expo. We have heard of the long queues to the most popular pavilions. Hence, we thought of the best way to experience the Expo since we had to compete with half a million determined Chinese expo goers daily. The choice came down to waiting 3 hours per pavilion to... Just returned from Expo 2010. I have been at many of these but the authorities at Shanghai DID NOT PLANED well the logistics of this one. Here are the WRONGS: a) They allowed more than 400,000 per day. Therefore, people had to line up for hours to see a pavillion. b) They open to late. 9am is already late c)... More

All the reviews about lines and line cutting are true. Know that, expect that and deal with it or stay home. I stayed away from any line over 30 minutes and if you plan and understand the best times to visit you can see many of the pavilions. The evening quiets down however some pavilions close early. Regardless we were... More
