$10.00 US Entry fee-Costa Ricans get in for 1/3 that price. Saw tons of animals--at least a dozen cappuchins and raccons and lizards. The entrance was hard to find...it's hidden on a side street with no signage--we had to ask several people and then several people asked us where the entrance was!
Follow the souvenir stands! Many locals trying to...

Do not do the park without a guide. There is lots to see, but you will miss most of it. The guides keep in touch with each other, so that when something exciting hapens (Like we saw a sloth coming out of a tree which they only do weekly) our guide got hailed, and we got to see it. Pack...

This was an amazing place to see howler and white-faced monkeys, sloths, iguanas, and frogs. We had a fabulous time, especially at the picturesque beach at the end of "Sendero Perezoso". Be sure to leave the beach before high tide rolls in, or else you'll have to walk back out of the park the same way you came in. Bring...

The reason why I say that is because I've seen everything we saw in the park in doing other free activities. For example, I've seen howler monkeys in the trees of another hotel I'm staying at....

Arrived at the Park a little before 9:00 a.m., paid our $10 pp, and headed into the park. We'd made the decision to not use a guide, but had binoculars and made sure we paid attention whenever we saw a crowd. We saw sloths, capuchin monkeys, raccoons, lizards, and even an elusive blue morpho butterfly. After walking the main trail...

National Park with lots to offer. Beautiful beaches, incredible variety of wildlife, and wonderful vistas, especially for sunset. Crowds can be a problem though. The throngs of people and the parking situation are tough, but once you make your way through, or decide not to let it bother you, you'll undergo an amazing array of experiences. Sloths, monkeys, toucans, lizards,...

We enjoyed our trek through the park At first we did not understand the need for a guide and it became apparent at the first stop. The guide pointed into the bush and we saw nothing until he set up the scope and things appeared out of no where. The guides work together to locate things for everyone to see...
