It was inspiring to see this historical place. It is amazing to think that Mandela left this experience with such forgiveness and fortitude. We went on a lovely day so that ride over and back was beautiful. Constitutional Hill and the Apartheid Museum were more informative and inspiring, but this was more than worth the time.

Enjoyed the trip a bit but it could have been so much better. They didn't allow us to look around the lime quarry, there are no arranged models or scenes to give extra info, vert few info boards ... in fact a big lack of useful and extra info for this attraction available on tour that could be terrific but... although the regular boat was non-operable, and the boat ride took twice as long as normal, the ride was pleasant. The highlight was that a former political prisoner who was incarcerated at the same time as Nelson Mandela was our tour guide. It was a powerful yet funny tour and he was open to answer all of our questions.

Interesting but not a must see. Groups are 2 big. We didn't understand our guide very well. You should do it when you have time enough (takes more or less a 1/2 day)
