The biggest zoo I've been to is in Omaha, Nebraska and the one in Phoenix is pretty big too. You just don't want to walk around too much when it's 120 degrees outside.

This is a great family venue. Not expensive and one can spend the whole day there seeing animals. Play area for the kids. Snack bars and picnic areas.

A very nice zoo, not as big as most large metro zoos. Go early in the day the pathways are generally not shaded. Don't forget sunscreen. We took 2, 6, 7, and 8 year old grandchildren. This is a great zoo. A large variety of animals in a large space. Unique animals such as Komodo dragons and cheetahs. Staff is friendly and informational. Great experience for the admission price. Only down side to the zoo is the location due to high temps in the summer.

We are season pass holders and has a blast on the water area of the zoo. My children can spend all day there and never get bored. The food is delicious and reasonably priced.
