The Bell Rock/Courthouse Loop is a very popular, easy/moderate hike. The footing is OK but supportive hiking shoes are recommended. The views are spectacular.

Great hike for all ages. Trail is well marked and easy to follow. Cyclists share the trail in some areas. Courthouse loop is available from Bell Rock and not to be missed. Lots of beauty and solitude along the way. Great photo opportunities!
Since renovating the roads and approaches only access is a mostly flat and even trailhead--bring water and be prepared for a long hike before actually in a position to climb. Scenic trail though with numerous photo ops
Great hike but it's pretty steep. We loved it. The rock is so perfectly shaped, it really looks like a bell! It's better to go early in the morning to avoid the heat and crowds (because everybody loves it)!

Easy trail and spectacular Views! There is nearby parking convenient to the start of the trail. We took the northern trail and the lot is approximately 3.6 miles south on Route 179 after leaving rte 89A in Sedona.
This was an easy hike as I am 7 months pregnant and didn't want a strenuous hike. Not much shade, however, so I would recommend going early in the morning before it gets too hot.
