We loved visiting Moonstone Drive. The boardwalk is lovely! The many paths down to the beach are fun, walking on the rocks, and collecting tiny rocks is fun. They seem to change sizes and colors a lot. There were a small amount of seals in the water, which was a nice change from the crazy hundreds in San Simeon. Enough... More

Romantic, authentic, even when it is busy...we spent two days of our honeymoon at the Sea Otter Inn 18 years ago and it was incredibly romantic.. of course, it was also a lot less expensive back then...still gorgeous drive and worth seeing again and again!

Being from the east, this was a very nice drive up the coast. We enjoyed the unobstructed view of the ocean and rocks.

Just off Moonstone beach drive, this beach is beautiful. Not white powdery sand, this is more rugged and has tumbled rocks and dark course sand. You will want to have a bag to collect pretty stones, roll up your pant legs, and walk along, admiring the scenery on both sides of you. There is driftwood laying around to sit, unsure... More

Rented a convertible from Santa Barbara and drove up to Cambria. Moonstone drive was so beautiful! It was pretty wind that day but we still had a fantastic time. The views are spectacular!

this is a very picturesque drive, and even better walk, the wildflowers and the ocean and the little beach squirrels all make for a very enjoyable walk.but the drive is just as nice for those who don't want to get out of their cars.

If you're visiting Cambria, and if you aren't staying on Moonstone Beach, at least make the drive along Moonstone Drive. The ocean view is spectacular.

Dotted with B&Bs, motels, shops, and a few restaurants on the inland side of the road, this drive allows you to enjoy unobstructed views of the ocean side and invites you to stroll the lovely boardwalk that lines the shore.
